Wanda releases emotional single “Nobody Else” with music video

On November 24th, Wanda released their new single “Nobody Else,” a song they wrote during “one of the darkest times of their lives.” After experiencing several deaths in their inner circle, they took their grief and wrote a song to give strength to others.

In September 2022, the band’s keyboardist, Christian Hummer, died after a long, serious illness. The remaining band members Manuel Poppe, Ray Weber and Marco Michael Wanda were in shock – and in order to process their feelings, they knew that there was only one place where this was possible: “It was completely clear that we were going into the studio must. We hadn’t even thought about publishing it yet. But we had to treat each other somehow, we had to be together and the best way to do that is to sit together in a studio every week for the foreseeable future and see what happens,” Marco Michael tells Wanda.

“I want to encourage everyone”

The song “Nobody Else” was written on January 3rd, 2023. For Wanda, this time was not only marked by the loss of her friend and colleague, the lead singer’s father was also seriously ill. A few months later he died. The Wanda singer explains: “I don’t often write songs that follow a specific idea. But with this song I followed a very clear vision. At that time my father was still seriously ill. With Christian in mind, I composed the song as an encouragement for my father. But as I was writing it, I realized that I wanted to use these lines to encourage everyone else who heard this. No matter what crisis they are in.”

Now her song has been released and with it an emotional video, shot in the mountainous landscape of Georgia. You can watch the music video here:
