Walt Disney went to a car wash

A Chilean laundry has ruined The Walt Disney Company.

Lucasfilm, owned by Walt Disney, is suing a car wash in Santiago, Chile.

The reason for this is the name and theme of the laundromat. The name of the laundry is Star Wash, which is remarkably reminiscent of Lucasfilm’s Star Wars movie saga.

The laundry is Star Wars themed, as its employees are dressed as Star Wars characters. Chewbacca, stormtroopers (also known as storm troopers in Finland) and even Darth Vader himself can be seen washing cars.

Star Wars – The Rise of Skywalker saw Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca (left), Daisy Ridley as Rey and Oscar Isaac in the background as Poe Dameron.

Accompanied by a representative of the car wash, the production company claims that the brands can be mixed up.

– Of course, this lawsuit affects us. We’re a small business and now we’re spending money on things we hadn’t budgeted for, laundromat owner Matias Jara said in an interview with Reuters.

There is also a car wash called Starwash in Finland, but it is known that stormtroopers do not wash cars there.
