Wallonia shortlisted for third Puy du Fou theme park, offering historical spectacles | Domestic

A first park was opened in 1989 in the Vendée in France. Two years ago, another park was added in Spain. Negotiations recently broke down with the Renson family to take over ‘le Monde sauvage’ in Aywaille (Liège), according to the newspaper.

But David Nouaille, director for international development at Puy du Fou, confirms that he is still looking to our country for expansion. The company is looking for a site of at least 150 hectares, in nature but at the same time easily accessible.

At the beginning of December, French management would come to inspect several potential sites in Wallonia.

A new theme park means an investment of 200 to 300 million euros and will create 700 direct jobs, the French company says.
