Waiting times for asylum seekers are increasing even further: only written interviews are no longer allowed | Domestic

Asylum seekers have to wait longer and longer before they hear whether or not they can stay in the Netherlands. The average waiting time is now one year and will continue to rise. This is partly, according to the IND immigration service, because the House of Representatives has prohibited the service from interviewing promising asylum seekers in writing.
