Wai Wong is the new assistant coach of the Dutch men’s handball team. It was previously announced that the Swede Staffan Olsson will be the news coach of the Orange squad. Wong also remains an assistant to the handball players of Aalsmeer.
As a player, Wong was active for Aalsmeer for many years and after that he also played in Germany. In 2018 he became national champion with Aalsmeer as a player. After that he stopped as a player and became assistant to Bert Bouwer. The coaching duo is extremely successful. For the past three years, Wong became champion of the Netherlands with Aalsmeer as assistant coach.
The intention is that the resident of Muiden will also become a trainer of Jong Oranje.
