Waanderveld residents stunned. Emmen allows construction of 44 garage boxes in an area that won the Architecture Prize. ‘A Berlin wall of 66 meters. Unimaginable’

Emmen has incurred the anger of a large number of residents of the Waanderveld. In this residential and working area, which received the Drenthe Architecture Prize in 2011, the municipality allows the construction of 44 business units. “So here will be a Berlin wall of 66 meters of garage boxes,” said one of the indignant local residents.
