VVD State Secretary Eric van der Burg for the first time sidelined the local government and forced the Twente municipality of Tubbergen to receive 300 asylum seekers. In doing so, the VVD puts local democracy in the garbage. The party has definitively degenerated into a soulless collection of ignorance, deceit and now despotism.
