Rui Costa won stage 15 of the Vuelta, 158 kilometers from Pamplona to Lekunberri, in Navarra. The 36-year-old Portuguese from Intermarché, 2013 world champion in Florence, beat the German Kamna and the Colombian Buitrago in a narrow sprint, with Remco Evenepoel – still on the run after the success of the day before – fourth at 2 seconds. The general classification remains unchanged: Sepp Kuss leads with 1’37” ahead of Primoz Roglic and 1’44” over Jonas Vingegaard: the American is the favorite at this point to arrive in Madrid in red, 10 years after his compatriot Horner.
