New national coach, new luck? Julian Nagelsmann is supposed to lead the German national soccer team back to its former strength after few successful years. The 36-year-old’s assistants are Sandro Wagner and Benjamin Glück.
The goals are clear – and ambitious: Nagelsmann should not only bring a breath of fresh air into the DFB in terms of sport. Eight months before the start of the European Football Championship in Germany, the DFB team should finally create enthusiasm in their own country again. The chemistry between those responsible gives cause for hope. “Actually, it clicked right away – on both sides. I felt that he didn’t have to think too much about it and that he really wanted to do it.
