Counting was halted earlier this week in Purmerend because the counters overtired were hit. It is unclear why the final result took so long.
BBB became the largest in Purmerend, just like in almost all other municipalities north of Amsterdam. The VVD came in second, and the PvdA came in third.
Because the results in Amsterdam are not yet final, Noord-Holland is the only province where the results are not yet one hundred percent confirmed. It is unclear when Amsterdam will have completely finished counting.
