A fox was spotted in the middle of the center of Breda last week. The beast walked over the Gasthuispoort to Stadspark Valkenberg, probably looking for food.

The fox got around half past three in the morning spotted by a passer -by. Images of the animal were later shared on the Facebook from Inbreda.

According to forester Floris Hopstaken, it is not exceptional for a fox to show itself in the center: “A fox is an opportunist and very curious. If he is looking for food, he does not necessarily remain in nature, but he can just as well go into the city as there is something to be found there.”

Skittish
So it is not surprising that the fox runs through the streets of the center, although it is special that it was seen. “Foxes are skittish animals. The chance that you will find one on the street is quite small.”

If you come across one, you don’t have to worry. According to the forester, foxes are generally not dangerous for people.
