New national chairman Melissa Depraetere wants to welcome new talent to the parliaments and has therefore opted for a list of young, new and experienced candidates in West Flanders. She herself is party leader for the House. Bruges native Pablo Annys heads the Flemish list at Vooruit.
Nawal Maghroud is 31 years old and faction leader at Vooruit Kortrijk. She will occupy second place on the Flemish list. In the Flemish parliament she wants to fight against extremes and for everyone who deserves a fair chance.
Jeroen Soete is 40 years old, faction leader at Vooruit Oostende and chief of staff of deputy Jurgen Vanlerberghe. He will take second place on the federal list. With Samen Sterter in 2013, he was the driving force behind the first group purchases of gas and electricity in West Flanders.
