Government parties Vooruit and Groen want banks to be obliged by law to offer savers better conditions. This became apparent in Parliament during a debate about the one-year government voucher. State Secretary Alexia Bertrand (Open Vld) referred to the protocol signed with the banks at the end of last year and called for some time to be given.
