European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has warned of an escalation of the energy crisis in the European Union as a result of the war in Ukraine. “Russia has already stopped all or part of gas supplies to 12 Member States. We must prepare for the worst situation,” she told the Spanish newspaper El Mundo today.
