RYD has 30 volunteers spread across Flanders ready for New Year’s Eve to take revelers who have looked too deeply into the glass and their car home safely and free of charge.
It is the 30th edition of the New Year’s campaign, with which the organization offers a last resort for people who looked too deeply into the glass on New Year’s Eve. The number of volunteers is declining, Lies Teck acknowledges. Last year there were 40 volunteers in Flanders. The last edition before corona, about 50 volunteers were ready.
