Volleyball: West Flemish derby Roeselare-Menen
Duels between Roeselare and Menen are rarely boring, often on the cutting edge and with commitment. That commitment is still there. Roeselare probably still has a feeling of revenge after the elimination in the quarterfinals of the cup (by Menen). Menen also has a view of the leadership position. If it can win at Roeselare, then it will turn out nicely – with one less game played than Knack. Roeselare now has 22 points (from 9 matches), Menen has 18 (from 8 matches).
But Roeselare also has its reasons to go all out for the win. It lost surprisingly heavily in competition at Aalst (3-0) and is also in a tough group in the Champions League. After the logical win against Waremme, a three-pointer at home against Menen is needed somewhere for confidence.
Menen and Roeselare briefly look each other in the eye twice, and next Saturday there will also be a West Flemish game as a competition match. Then in the Vauban.
