After the clear opening defeat against Iran, the German volleyball players did much better in the second game of the Nations League (VNL) against Poland, but had to admit defeat again after five sets.
The team of national coach Michal Winiarski lost to the Vice World Champion in Rotterdam by 2:3 (21:25, 25:22, 14:25, 25:17, 10:15).
The selection of the German Volleyball Association (DVV) is still without a win at the second of three stops of the VNL and has only one win from six games in the Nations League. Only the top eight teams qualify for the quarterfinals. Germany is currently in twelfth place, although France and Cuba could still overtake them due to fewer games played.
In Rotterdam, the DVV selection will next meet Serbia on Thursday and finally China on Saturday. The last station in Anaheim/USA is scheduled for July.
