After four defeats in a row, the volleyball players are… SC Potsdam achieved a surprising victory in the Bundesliga: the Brandenburg women defeated league leaders SSC Schwerin 3-1 (18:25, 25:22, 25:16, 25:20) on Saturday.
As if intoxicated
The start of the game was unsuccessful. The Potsdam women clearly lost the first round with 18:25. But with a 25:22 in the second set, the hosts initially managed to equalize – and then they played themselves into a frenzy: Led by the outstanding Antonia Stautz, the SCP women also won the following two rounds and left Schwerin with 25:16 and 25:20 no chance.
After 98 minutes, the game was over in front of 2,100 spectators in the MBS Arena. The Brandenburgers ended 2023 in fourth place with 24 points. They continue on Wednesday, January 3rd (7 p.m.) with a home game against Münster.
