‘We were afraid she would have had to suffer’
VOLENDAM – They did almost everything together. The Volendam twin sisters Miranda and Karina Schilder worked for the same company, met at home every day, attended the same festivities and ran forty marathons across all seven continents. A year ago, disaster struck and Karina died in a tragic accident on Karpathos. Last week Miranda (52) traveled for the first time with a group of loved ones to the site of disaster on the Greek island.
