Volcanic activity in southwest Iceland is increasing again: residents (and tourists) of a fishing village evacuated again

Seismic activity on the Reykjanes Peninsula, in southwestern Iceland, has increased to such an extent that authorities have again decided to evacuate. The seismologists fear earthquakes and a new volcanic eruption near the almost deserted fishing village of Grindavik. It has been hit by eruptions several times in recent months.
