Voka satisfied with relaxed corona measures

The consultation committee decided to switch to code yellow from Monday 7 March. That means that a lot of corona measures are easing. The rules are also relaxing in the workplace: a mouth mask is no longer mandatory. Voka is happy that normalcy can finally return. “Voka West-Flanders would like to expressly thank both the policymakers and advisors as well as the entire healthcare sector for their continuous efforts and mutual support during the past 2 years”, says Managing Director Bert Mons.

Voka West Flanders does call on not to abolish the flexible system of temporary unemployment after March 31. “After the corona crisis, the war in Ukraine again confronts us with great uncertainty. The system of temporary unemployment can be very useful in the near future to absorb major shocks in our labor market.”
