The annual event series ‘Vogue World’ moves on to Paris.
In the French capital, the fashion magazine’s event marks the start of Haute Couture Fashion Week in June. It also heralds the sports competitions of the 2024 Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris a month later, the US publisher Condé Nast announced on Tuesday.
After editions in New York and London, ‘Vogue World’ has found a traditional venue in Paris’ Place Vendôme. The event will feature creations by French fashion houses and designers who have found their home in Paris. The event also pays tribute to the sport that will be omnipresent locally this summer. In collaboration with youth sports academies, various sports are combined with the key themes of French fashion and presented in the show.
“I am delighted that Vogue World has found its third home here in Paris,” said Anna Wintour, Global Editorial Director of Vogue. “If ‘Vogue World: New York’ was a street party and ‘Vogue World: London’ was an opening night at the theater, then Paris will be a tribute to the Olympics. And it’s a dream to make Place Vendôme the home of Vogue World – I can’t think of a place that better reflects the city’s rich history and glamor.”
‘Vogue World’ takes place under the auspices of Wintour, who is responsible for hosting the event with Mark Guiducci, Creative Editorial Director and Juan Costa Paz, former Global Creative Director of Vogue.
The show can be followed via livestream on June 23rd.
