VOC has lost the Supercup final to fear gegner Venlo. The Amsterdam handball players went down hard in the first test of the season: 16-30. Diede Konings in particular turned out to be a tease with eight goals.
The beginning of VOC was very moderate. The reigning national champion was already 1-7 behind in no time, so the final never actually became a match. VOC tried to turn the tide by entering the duels much fiercer, but this also did not have the right effect. VOC, on the other hand, conceded many time penalties and penalty throws, which only increased the difference. At halftime, Venlo already had a nine-point margin with VOC (6-15).

The Limburgers never gave the Amsterdammers the feeling that they were handing over the victory. The afternoon got more and more painful for VOC, until it turned 16-30. The difference in strength is striking, since the team from Amsterdam became national champions in May by beating Venlo.
