The New York Post and Daily Mail reported in March that Vladimir Putin claimed to be a lover Alina Kabajeva is in Switzerland.
Kabayeva is currently thought to be in Lugano. Due to the war started by Russia and Putin, the sanctions imposed on Russia have not affected Kabayeva.
The Swiss are not happy with the news from the New York Post and the Daily Mail. According to the country’s media, Switzerland already has more than 46,000 signatures in a petition demanding the expulsion of Kabayeva from Switzerland.
The Swiss authorities have not confirmed whether Kabayeva is in the country.
According to Swiss Watson, Kabayeva is believed to be hiding in the country with two of Putin and his common children.
A Russian politician, 38-year-old Kabayeva is a former Olympic gymnast. He won gold in rhythmic gymnastics at the 2004 Athens Olympics. He won the 2000 Olympic bronze in Sydney.
In addition to his Olympic medals, Kabayeva holds two world championships and five European championships.
Kabayeva was caught doping in his career in 2001.
