Vivienne Westwood, Lucy Boynton’s punk-chic makeup

Defer toEnglish punk aesthetic of the 80s the make up created by Jo Baker on the actress Lucy Boynton in homage to Vivienne Westwood.

Intense and dramatic, the makeup focuses on the eyes with a double eyeliner that rises up to the temples, framing the gaze and totally defining the aesthetics of the look. In fact, if the tails of the eyeliner on the outside stretch pointedly towards the eyebrows, the same thing does not apply to the lower waterline: outlined instead by a soft curve that further emphasizes the rounded shape of the eye.

Then the pearls, applied in three places on the upper and lower eyelid. Luminous and iridescent they give the look an almost wet look that sparkles and amazes with every blink of an eye.

It’s called “Blur Effect” and it’s a tmake-up technique used to recreate the perfect texture of the skin as it appears in Instagram filters. With an almost “blurred” appearance, the foundation is applied to smooth the complexion, softening the features and hiding all types of imperfections, including dark circles.

Face shape and make-up: how to enhance yourself with the right make-up

Same thing goes for the lips which in this case are patted with the productgoing slightly outside the contour and thus allowing a lighter dose of color to be released.

The result? Eyes in close-up, perfect skin and artfully smudged lips. And this is how Lucy Boynton pays homage to the Queen of Punk. “God save the Queen”.
