Working Dutch people will gain several tens of euros per month next year thanks to the plans announced by the cabinet during Budget Day. HR service provider Visma Raet calculated this on Tuesday. Employees with an average income will receive almost 2.6 percent more net salary per month next year, which is 67.42 euros more compared to this year.
According to Visma Raet, an average income amounts to 3086 euros per month. According to the calculations, anyone who earns twice the average income, or 6,172 euros, will gain 1.69 percent. They will then receive a net amount of 70.59 euros per month. Visma Raet has not included any changes in pension premiums in all its calculations.
According to Visma Raet, the minimum wage depends very much on how many hours per week you work. People with a minimum wage who work 36 hours a week will see their net income increase by 66.60 euros, about 3.6 percent more than in January this year. Minimum wages with a 38-hour contract earn almost 7.3 percent more net and can count on 135.30 euros in extra money. And those who work 40 hours a week will see an increase of almost 11 percent and will see 204 euros more on their pay slip.
During Budget Day, in addition to a further increase in the minimum wage, the government also announced measures that have no direct impact on salaries, but which can earn employees more money. For example, the tax-free travel allowance for commuting will increase from 21 cents to 23 cents per kilometer. The work-from-home allowance is expected to be 2.35 euros per day in January. Now it is 20 cents less per day.
