fans of “Return to the futurecried on social media after videos from New York Comic Con went viral for capturing the emotional reunion of Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. He walked onto the stage to huge applause from the crowd, and Fox hugging Lloyd.
A video of the meeting garnered more than 7 million views on Twitter. “Seeing Michael J. Fox hug Christopher Lloyd like this is so beautiful,” wrote a user on the birdie’s social network.
Fox recalled that he joined “Back to the Future” when production was already underway, to replace Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly, . Director Robert Zemeckis he realized that Stoltz was not suitable for the role, so he offered Fox the role he had previously turned down because of his television contract.

“I didn’t know Michael other than hearing about him,” Lloyd acknowledged at New York Comic Con (NYFCC). “I was angry because he was over six weeks on his contract and now he was going to have to do it all over again. But between us there was immediate chemistry”, recalled the “Doc Brown” of “Back to the future” who established a lasting friendship with Fox.
Fox, diagnosed with the disease Parkinson’s in the late 1990s, he told the NYFCC that Lloyd has always been there for him over the years. “Parkinson’s is a gift and I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” said Fox, always optimistic. “People like Chris have been there for me a lot, and a lot of you have. It’s not about what I have, it’s about what I’ve been given: the voice to do this and help people”, he thanked.
