On the night of Saturday, the police had to clear two Berlin parks: Mauerpark and James-Simon-Park. The police were also on duty in Volkspark Friedrichshain. There were a total of two injuries.
James Simon Park cleared
At around 1:30 a.m., a hundred units had to move to Burgstrasse near James-Simon-Park and clear the area. According to initial findings, excessive noise and the associated complaints from residents are said to have been one of the reasons for the deployment.
In addition, crimes between different groups are said to have occurred repeatedly. During the evacuation, a young man was found with head injuries. An ambulance and paramedics treated him and he was taken to a hospital.
Thanks to witnesses, several suspects were identified during the night. There have been more police operations in James Simon Park in recent weeks.
Mauerpark cleared
The Berlin Wall Park was cleared shortly before 1 a.m. The reason for the eviction is said to have been criminal offenses among young people and noise pollution. Details are not yet known. The Berlin police were on site with a group of hundreds and quickly cleared the Mauerpark, the clearing is said to have been peaceful.
Arrests in Volkspark Friedrichshain
And around 11 p.m., according to BZ information, there was an argument among young people in Volkspark Friedrichshain. A young man was injured. The injured came to a hospital. According to initial findings, two young men are said to have been arrested for the time being, but were released on the spot a little later. The police are investigating.
