The Top 20 of the Official German Vinyl Charts for October (September 30th to November 3rd) are here. Winner of the month is Taylor Swift with MIDNIGHTS.

The bronze and silver medals go to…

With their second album from 2022, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have secured second place with RETURN OF THE DREAM CANTEEN, followed by Die Ärzte with PLANET PUNK in third place. Their second album after the reunion in 1993 was originally released in the year 1995, but was re-released on double vinyl on October 7, 2022.

In the previous week’s evaluation (week 45) of the Official German Charts by GfK, the Beatles had beaten Swift’s new production with their technically completely renewed 56-year-old work REVOLVER. In the vinyl charts, the Fab Four – contrary to possible expectations – did not even reach the top 3, but appear in seventh position.

Ozzy Osbourne and Kraftklub are in the charts for the second month

Also representing the rock genre are ranks four and five with THE END, SO FAR by Slipknot and THE CAR by Arctic Monkeys. In addition to Swift, there are other pop records from the extended ME cosmos: TRUE NORTH by a-ha (position 6), WANDA by Wanda (position 12) and OLYMPIA by Betterov (position 13).

Kraftklub’s KARGO and Ozzy Osbourne’s PATIENT NUMBER 9 have remained in the top 20 since September, though both works have slipped more than 10 positions.

GfK uses the sales and usage data from 2,800 retailers as the basis for the figures determined.
