Ville Peltonen piloted by HIFK suffered their third consecutive defeat on Saturday. The Pelicans defended against the Helsinki team 1–0. HIFK, which has been playing idly all autumn, has already taken 13th place in the league table thanks to Sport’s victory.

In October, the team scored a maximum of two goals per match. In the last five games, Peltonen’s group has been left with four clean sheets. The head coach was still confident that things would turn out better.

– Today was probably one of the best games of the season. It was mature and tenacious playing. We managed to create chances and make plays. I believe that this was where our ketchup bottle starts to open from now on, Peltonen commented at the press conference of the Pelicans game.

With the Pelicans goal Jasper Patrikainen saved 26 bets in his draw. Peltonen praised the home team.

– Pelsu defended wonderfully. The goalkeeper then took the rest. Our clubs can stand tall. The next goal is a little bit closer.

Peltonen thought that the team has left something undone when the game has been under their control, but the victory has not been earned.

– Our margins are so small that we can fix all kinds of things at the same time, Peltonen summed up.

HIFK next faces KalPa on Wednesday. Next weekend there are consecutive games against Ilves and HPK.
