After José Manuel Villarejo accused Joan Laporta of leaking important information about the arrest of Sandro Rosell, accused of laundering money from the collection of illegal commissions for the sale of the television rights of the Brazilian soccer team and for a contract agreement sponsorship with Nike, the former president of FC Barcelona has assured in an interview with ‘Catalunya Ràdio’ that does not want to believe the version presented by the former commissioner of the Spanish Police.
“I don’t want to believe it. When I heard it yesterday I got really angry thinking that one percent could be true.. I was reflecting a lot, very angry. I spent two years in prison, with Joan Besolí, and I suffered a lot. I was analyzing and reviewing Jordi Basté’s interview with Villarejo: except for the issue of Joan Laporta, which I left parked on the refrigerator, I believed the rest of the statements he said. The thing about Laporta, at a time when I am looking for who pressed the red button that unjustly kept me in prison for two years, shook my brain,” Sandro Rosell declared.
