The first episode of the 22nd season of the Sinterklaas news reached 1,898,000 viewers. This was reported by viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp on Instagram.
“Incredibly high and obviously a viewing figure record,” said Nijkamp. “It has never scored before Sinterklaas news so good in its 22nd (!) anniversary. (…) Speechless, what a score!” Last year, the first episode attracted almost 1.3 million viewers.
The official figures are not yet known. In a week, Stichting KijkOnderzoek will publish the final scores. This also includes delayed viewers, people who watch a program later.
