Two more assignments were scheduled for the final of this summer edition: a fashion shoot and a triptych.
First dropout of ‘The perfect picture’
In the first assignment, the three finalists each got a model with whom they had to do the fashion shoot. Thomas soon went into the mist. Despite the fantastic model, he did not get the picture he hoped for. Finally, he submitted a photo in which the clothing was clearly wrinkled. It is therefore not surprising that Maurice and Jochem achieved higher points. In short: end of exercise for Thomas.
Beautiful triptych
For the second and last assignment, Maurice and Jochem spent a day with the real Argentine gauchos. The intention was to make a documentary triptych in which the life of a gaucho became immediately clear.
The result was fantastic! Both finalists took beautiful pictures. Yet one image jumped out that undoubtedly ensured that Maurice was declared the winner. For this generation photo, he had photographed the grandfather with the youngest member of the Gaucho family during the sunset.
The big winner
The jury, consisting of photographers William Rutten and Gaby Herbstein, was clearly impressed. “This image is huge. What a peace, a really beautiful photo with the perfect light. The right time and the right place, well seen by the photographer,” said the jury. And so Maurice Lede became the rightful winner of The perfect picture in Argentina.
Tip for next season
Viewers really enjoyed this summer edition. They even agree with winner and that doesn’t happen often. “Maurice is the deserved winner with his beautiful triptych,” writes a viewer on Twitter. They do have a tip for the next season. They would like to see a series without famous Dutch people. Probably because they secretly want to participate. We get that!

Both candidates awarded to the winner of #theperfectpicture to be. But to be fair, Maurice did a really great job on the last assignment. I am also happy that the program will return in the autumn and I am already curious who the candidates are.
