Robert-Jan and Maran live with their son in Utrecht. They have a substantial budget for a new home, no less than € 660,000. However, their search is unsuccessful. So they have quite a few requirements. They want a 1930s house with a herringbone floor of at least 140 square meters, with at least 3 bedrooms and an office. The house may be located in Utrecht, Amersfoort and Hilversum, but in specific neighbourhoods.
The well-known concessions
Real estate agent Alex sets to work with fresh courage, but after a few months he has to conclude that it doesn’t work. He therefore asks the couple for the well-known concessions. With a heavy heart they decide to reduce the number of square meters and increase the search area.
Walking without looking
With results! Alex finds a house he’s excited about and decides to invite Bob for a viewing. Once in the garden, Alex seems to think for a moment that the program is called ‘Walking without looking’. He takes a step back and falls into the pond. Bob can hardly contain his laughter and the viewers at home are also in tears.
Comments
In the end it was not in vain: the house was bought. After a renovation of € 175,000, the couple is overjoyed with their cottage. Very nice and nice, but the viewers are only talking about the fall into the pond. Here’s a look back at that moment:
