The Reading attacker, who once wore the shirts of Newcastle United and Liverpool, scored two beautiful goals in the Championship against Fulham on Tuesday evening. First, 33-year-old Carroll scored from a brilliant overhead kick. Moments later, he hit the target after a volley of about 25 meters.
Two world goals that in the eyes of the referee could not count on mercy. In both cases, Carroll was offside and they didn’t count.
It turned out to be a very sour evening for Carroll and his teammates. At home, Reading lost no less than 7-0 against Fulham.
