Moderat have released another new track. “Easy Prey” is the second new single by the Berlin DJ trio after “Fast Land”. The accompanying album MORE D4TA is scheduled for release on May 13, 2022. The predecessor III came out in 2016.
A press release states that the text for “Easy Prey” was created before Sascha Ring (Apparat), Gernot Bronsert & Sebastian Szary (Modeselektor) began work on the new album and is therefore the “only track on the album that was recorded in the In contrast to the remaining tracks, it doesn’t deal with the ‘big issues’ of our time, but describes an emotional state.” “Easy Prey” is about love. About the fact that “being together always leads to a kind of dependency and, in the case of the protagonist, to an unhealthy form of it.”
From mid-May to December 2022, MODERAT will also be returning live to the stages. Two premiere shows are planned for Leipzig and Cologne.
