Vos deliberately looked for a film-maker from the municipality of De Wolden and found him in Manon Wessels. “Vera is very good at coming up with things, she has a lot of ideas, she is the initiator,” says Wessels. “I’m more of a realist and frame more. And practically I’m the editor and filmmaker and Vera is the talker.”
Young people permanently involved?
In total, about sixty young people are involved in the project. For example, someone made the music for the trailer and another provided drone shots. The makers hope it won’t stop with this series. “I would love to do even more with these people and get even more people involved,” said Vos.
“I certainly think there are opportunities to expand it further. We have now found those young people and they are enthusiastic. It is nice to set up something with them, for example organizing events,” adds Hessels.
Every Monday an episode will be available through their own media channels; next Monday the first. The series will be broadcast in June by RTV Drenthe.
