Ricardo Darin dedicated a few words to the attack on Cristina Kirchner when he was at a press conference for his new movie “Argentina, 1985”which was presented at the Venice Festival. The actor took advantage of the microphone to invite reflection: “It is very important to review our own violence. Sometimes without realizing it we can contribute to this generalized violence,” he said. The entire production team repudiated the attack against the Vice President.
Darín’s reflection on the attack on Cristina Kirchner:
the director of the film, Santiago Miter, also had a few words about what happened with the vice president, and recounted how they received the news with the rest of the cast. “It was a great shock for all of us. Many of us were traveling when it happened and we found out when we landed. It is a horrible event that we never thought could happen. If there was something that we believed that the 1985 trial had managed to settle forever, it was the use of violence as a possibility to resolve political conflicts. We believed that prosecutor Strassera’s Never Again was forever “; Miter said.
“Argentina 1985” is a reconstruction of Trial of the Military Juntas who ruled the country between 1976 and 1983. It is inspired by the key work of prosecutors Julio Strassera (played by Ricardo Darín) and Luis Moreno Ocampo (played by Peter Lanzani). “Argentina, 1985” will be released in Argentine theaters and will later be available on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries.
