VIDEO: Patricia Bullrich’s mockery for Sergio Massa

The president of PRO Patricia Bullrich published on his Twitter account a video where he criticized the Economy Minister Sergio Massa for the move to a permanent plant of 11 thousand public employees. “It seems that, for some, better to do, that is. Better than performing, is promising”, said the tweet of the referent of Together for Changeparodying the famous phrase Juan Domingo Peron (“Better than saying is doing, better than promising is doing.”)

In the video, accompanied by circus music, you can see shots of two opposing journalistic notes. The first corresponds to La Nación on August 3 and headlines: “Massa confirmed that he governs the freezing of the National State plant.” However, the video later shows an Infobae headline from November 2, where it is reported that the national government made official the move to a permanent plant of 11,000 public employees. The tape closes with an image of Sergio Massa laughing.

The video alludes to the recent news, against the promises of the ruling party and the current Minister of Economy, that the government would not incorporate more employees. But through a publication in the Official Gazette, the incorporation of 11,172 public employees to permanent staff was made official this week.

The deputy for the PRO, Hernan Lombardi, also criticized this decision in the program “Todo Noticias” (TN). However, the Secretary of Management and Public Employment, Ana Castellani, denied this in statements to Radio Nacional, stating that “it is not true that more workers are incorporated into the State.” “The decision regularizes the situation of people who have been working for at least five years in the State in a transitory designation modality.”

The official clarified that the norm authorizes the call for competition of those 11,172 positions, giving the possibility of contest to regularize the situation of people who have worked in the State for decades.

“The difference is between staff and plant, which are not the same. The workforce is the number of people who work under any modality in the State. And what was established at the time was that there would not be an increase in the workforce, something that does not happen in this case”, explained Castellani, who also answered the criticism of Lombardy in a tweet detailing the details of the government’s decision.

According to statements made by the deputy secretary of the union Association of State Workers (ATE Nacional), Rodolfo Aguiarhad made at the end of September, this decision was part of an agreement with the Executive for an increase in the parity of the sector and that the move to a permanent plant of those 11 thousand people was also included.
