Until a few hours ago Facundo Perez Ernst He was an unknown young man. With his twenty years, he is a law student at the UBA and a native of the Buenos Aires town of Esteban Echeverría. But everything changed when thousands of people gathered outside Congress to support the vice president Cristina Kirchner while giving his statement on the networks about the accusation that weighs on him in the Cause road. In a moment, the mobile of C5N he put to air the face of a long-haired boy with a 70’s style look that showed a marked fervor k. And in minutes the image of him flooded the networks under the nickname of “Mini Nestor”because of its resemblance to Nestor Kirchner.
“I hardly have a voice, because I was screaming, telling her what you feel: that you love her and that she represents what you think, what you want, what you feel…” he said. Facundo on TV. While on the networks they joked: “Did Nestor travel back in time to support Cristina?”, a comparison that makes the young man very happy, he assured in dialogue with NEWS.
“The truth is that I am living it like crazy, because of the amount of support from the people. Most were people who sent me love but haters come to you, I’m not going to deny it. They tell you ‘bullet’, ‘don’t let them reproduce’, luckily I have a very high self-esteem and it doesn’t affect me at all”; says Facundo, about the repercussions of the video.
Facundo said that his family was always Peronist, although not very militant. He explains that from a very young age he was passionate about reading history, initially because of his fascination with the figure of General José de San Martín. “He always took sides. I know that it is a way that many historians do not recommend, because they prefer to be more impartial or objective. Until he, he says, came the time to read about Peronism, and that moment he also took sides with “the leader of the masses.”
Currently, Facundo has a radio program called “La hora Joven” that he broadcasts on Radio Cultura Lomas and on Twitch, in which he touches on political and current issues, especially in relation to what is relevant to youth.
“Mini Néstor” and his future in politics
Facundo does not hesitate to look to the future. He sees himself in politics for him, he says, “transforming reality.” That is why he chose the law career. “I understand that it is the career that could give me more tools to understand the reality of the country and how Justice works,” he maintains. He defines himself as a “defender of Constitution to death” and believes that there are “judicial guarantees” that would not have been fulfilled in the Road cause. “There must be an independent and impartial judge, there must be the right to a defense, the presumption of innocence: these are basic issues. The rule of law is being violated”, emphasizes the young militant K.
Facundo does not escape giving his opinion on the reality that the country is experiencing. “Some of the government’s intentions are good,” he maintains, although he criticizes the “lack of political decision on issues such as inflation.” “Inflation is not only a matter of emission. Clearly there are certain sectors that are benefiting from this and there is a lack of political decision to act against these sectors, because this is hitting everyone’s pockets, ”he says. mini nestor. Although Facundo went viral because of his resemblance to the former predictor, his rapprochement with Kirchnerism occurred during the Cristina government. However, he jokes with an anecdote that -he says- could make one think that his political affiliation was almost from the cradle: “Néstor took office in 2003, I was born in 2002. And in the October 2003 elections, when Felipe Solá took over as governor , my mom was president of the table. That day I stopped taking the breast”, says Facundo a little between laughs.
