Accidents are more numerous and twice as serious in high winds: 10 tips for safe driving during a storm
A heavy south-westerly storm is approaching Belgium. The RMI expects that the storm will mainly hit the coast, East and West Flanders and Antwerp on Friday between 2 pm and 3 pm and between 6 pm and 7 pm. According to the Belgian Road Safety Institute (Vias), the number of accidents not only increases in such weather conditions, the statistical data also show that accidents during a storm are twice as serious. That is why Vias calls for caution and gives ten tips for safe driving in these weather conditions.
