The women of VV Alkmaar did not manage to get off the field with three points tonight. Just before time, the Alkmaarders had to take the equalizer. After ninety minutes of football, the 2-2 final score was on the scoreboard.
The game was evenly matched in the first half. There were no goals. The second half was a lot more entertaining. After only five minutes, captain Nina Nijstad gave the Frisians the lead with a nice shot from the distance.
Two hits in two minutes
The women from North Holland had nothing to lose and increased the pressure. Fifteen minutes before the end, Judith Roosjen scored the equalizer. Two minutes before the end, the same Roosjen even seemed to make the winner. Yet Roos de Haas managed to score the 2-2 a minute later.
Both teams have one point after two games. Ajax and Telstar will not be in action this weekend.
