The handball players of SG BBM Bietigheim won the final of the DHB Cup against HSG Bensheim Auerbach. The defending champions won 39:25.
The women of the SG BBM Bietigheim lived up to their clear favorite position in the DHB Cup and won the final against HSG Bensheim Auerbach with ease. The women from Bietigheim took control right from the start and were leading by four goals after just eight minutes – Veronika Malá scored to make it 5-1.
The women from Bietigheim couldn’t take this lead anymore. After almost 22 minutes, Antje Döll scored to make it 11:5 for SG BBM. With 19:8 for the SG BBM Bietigheim it finally went into the half-time break. In the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, nobody had any more doubts about the winner.

In the second half, too, the handball players of the SG BBM Bietigheim clearly showed why they started the game as big favourites. After 37 minutes Xenia Smits already made it 26:11. Although the Bensheim women still tried to counteract this and didn’t give up, they were hardly rewarded for their effort. In the end, the defending champions from Bietigheim won 39:25 and were able to lift the coveted trophy for the third time in a row.
