Victoria Verstappen: ‘Second pregnancy was heavier’ | 1Limburg

Victoria Verstappen found her second pregnancy a lot tougher than her first.

That is what Max Verstappen’s 22-year-old sister tells in an extensive interview with the online platform HowAboutMom

no ailments
Victoria had two sons in one year: Luka, who was born on December 7, 2020, and Lio, who was born on December 6. Her pregnancy with Luka went very well: she had no complaints and had a lot of energy.

less fit
That was a lot different with Lio’s pregnancy: “Luka was only three months old and I was still in my recovery, so I experienced Lio’s pregnancy as more difficult. Not that I did suffer from ailments at the time. , but we already had a little boy at home who didn’t sleep well, so I went into my pregnancy a lot less fit than I did with Luka.”

epidural
The Maastricht resident knew in advance that she wanted an epidural. That was successful with Luka’s delivery, but with Lio Victoria was too late to receive the pain relief: “In retrospect, I thought that was also very nice, because I really experienced what a birth feels like. But looking back on both deliveries , I am grateful for how it went both times. I think that is also because I am still young and have recovered quickly both times.”

Childcare
Although Victoria has a positive attitude, there are plenty of spicy moments during her motherhood. That’s why her sons go to daycare two to three days a week, so that Victoria has time for herself. “Then I work, I go to sport or go to the hairdresser. That is something I have always liked to do and still find it very important. It is precisely those moments that I need to recharge and a lot of positive get energy.”
