Victor Osimhen, the Bayern coach wants it: Tuchel’s words

The coach of the German club is looking for a new number nine after the departure of Lewandowski. He likes the Napoli striker: “I have my opinion, but if it were then brought back to Italy…”

An obvious weakness. Which will be fixed in the summer. With the departure of Robert Lewandowski (who was sold to Barcelona) Bayern Munich are short of a real number 9. This season the Bavarians have held on to goals from Choupo-Moting (who have 17 in all competitions), who, however, had never gone beyond 11 goals in his career. A problem that became evident in the match against City, when, also without the African striker, the Bavarians struggled to finalize the many opportunities created. This is why in Germany they are trying to figure out who will be the centre-forward on whom the club will aim in the summer. The favorites at the moment appear to be Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Harry Kane of Tottenham. And Tuchel spoke about it at a press conference.

THE STATEMENTS

Upon a specific question, the Bayern coach spoke of the Napoli forward, suggesting that he appreciated him, without however saying it candidly: “I have an opinion on the player, but I also know the mechanics. If he is brought back to Italy, he is perceived differently. And my colleague, in this case Spalletti, says I have to keep my mouth shut. That’s why I’m not talking about other people’s players.”

MANE

The coach then also spoke of Sadio Mané, who was suspended by Bayern after he hit Sanè in the face: “I wasn’t present when it happened, but obviously I immediately spoke to everyone concerned. It was important to clarify the situation before the next training. Now we can face the issue with serenity, we are not the first team to experience such episodes and we will not be the last. I defend Manè because he recognized the mistake and apologized. Sometimes the players’ problem isn’t physical, but they lack lightness.”
