Spain adds two new victims to the terrible deadly statistics of gender violence at the gates of the electoral campaign. Vanesa was 36 years old and the second woman murdered, whose identity has not been disclosed, was 35. Each one was the mother of a small minor and they lived in Móstoles (Madrid) and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. Both were killed by their partners.
The Government Delegation against Gender Violence has confirmed this Friday the sexist nature of both crimes, which have brought to 1,208 femicides in the area of couples and ex-partners since 2003. So far this year, they are 24 women fatalities for gender violence in this country.
The two little ones who remain orphans raise 25 the number of minors who have been left without their mothers this year as a consequence of sexist violence. are already 402 boys and girls since 2013.
Murder in Mostoles
Vanesa, 36, was allegedly stabbed by her partner on June 28 at his home in Móstoles (Madrid). A day later, the injuries received ended his life.
The 47-year-old man had been denounced for threats. After assaulting his partner, he fled, but was arrested moments later when he tried to escape by road.
In six of the 24 sexist murders of 2023 there were previous complaints of mistreatment: 25%.

Crime in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat
The Government Delegation against Gender Violence has also confirmed this Friday the macho nature of the murder of a 35 year old woman in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona).
On June 20, the woman was admitted to a hospital after falling into a void from the first floor. Two days later, she died from the bruises suffered.

The man is in custody and the court has suspended parental authority and has prohibited his communication with the minor son.
