The victim of the fatal stabbing last night at the festival site solid grooves is 21-year-old Jimmy Schepers from Diemen. The police state on Twitter that they have arrested a third suspect for involvement in that stabbing.
Two 20-year-old Amsterdam men could already be arrested on the festival site itself yesterday. They are suspected of involvement in the stabbing.
Three men were stabbed during the stabbing. It concerns a 22-year-old man from Nieuwegein and a 24-year-old man from Amsterdam. The third victim, 21-year-old Jimmy Schepers from Diemen, later died of his injuries in hospital.
‘Quarrel over sunglasses’
The Telegraph reports that prior to the fatal stabbing there would have been an argument over sunglasses.
Family members of Jimmy Schepers are now calling on social media to send images of the stabbing to the police. “Dear people, we would like to ask everyone to send us all the footage of last night’s stabbing incident. We hope to find out our little brother’s killer as soon as possible!”, his sisters write on Instagram.
Like the family, the police are also calling for images to be sent to them. They therefore join the call of Jimmy’s family.
