Trained regularly with VfL pros
The Wolfsburg youngster Matthew Meier starts his professional career at Halleschen FC. The offensive talent, who switched from Energie Cottbus to the “Wolves” in 2018, contributed five goals and three assists in 19 games for the U19s of VfL in the past season.
“Matthew Meier can hold various positions, regularly trains with the Bundesliga pros in Wolfsburg and should put pressure on the competition in his own team with his speed and his distinctive skills in one-on-one situations. He has all the prerequisites to gain a foothold in the 3rd division and to push his promising development with us in Halle at a high level,” said sports director Thomas Sobotzik.
