VfL Wolfsburg: Professional contracts for young players Braun and Herrmann

From the U19 of VfL

VfL Wolfsburg is counting on young players Manuel Braun (18) and Max Herrmann (17) for the future. According to the club, both players from the Lower Saxony U19 received license player contracts.

In the case of defensive player Braun, who signed a professional contract for the next three seasons, Wolfsburg’s academy director Michael Gentner emphasized his “professional behavior on and off the field”. Braun has been used in 19 games in the U19s this season, mostly in central defense and occasionally on the left side of defence. The VfL official emphasized that the three-time U18 national player is a “prime example of our training”.

Offensive talent Herrmann was tied for two more years at VfL. Gentner explained: “Max is a creative player with great basic technique and emits an immense goal threat. We really appreciate that he is continuing on his chosen path at VfL Wolfsburg, so we will have a lot of fun together in the years to come.” Herrmann has made eleven appearances in the U19s in attacking midfield and on the wing.
