Convinced during Torino loan
Josip Brekalo’s departure from VfL Wolfsburg is taking shape. The 24-year-old left winger is about to move to AC Fiorentina. Italian media published videos from the airport in Tuscany on Friday evening showing the 24-year-old Croatian on his way to the medical check-up.
Brekalo hardly played a role for the Lower Saxony in the current Bundesliga season and was only used in four games. The Croatian is still in demand in Serie A: In addition to Florence, SSC Napoli and Udinese Calcio are said to have shown interest. Brekalo spent last season at Torino FC, contributing seven goals and two assists in 33 games.
In Wolfsburg, the contract for the right footer ends at the end of the season, so a high transfer fee for the “Wolves” is not to be expected.
